The LCDI recently held two open houses during Champlain’s Accepted Student Days April 6th and 13th. Student employees and interns gave tours of the lab space and welcomes prospective students and their families. There was a good turnout for both days, with 25 students and 60 family members in attendance. There were plenty of interested students who took time to speak with student workers and interns about positions at the LCDI and life at Champlain. Every LCDI worker was ready with advice and information for prospective students of all majors, as well as their families. The open houses were also an opportunity for the seniors involved in the Computer and Digital Forensics capstone to showcase their work. The graduating students had a chance to talk to prospective forensics majors about their projects and future plans.
All in all, both open houses were a success, and we’re hoping to see many new students at Champlain and the LCDI in the fall.
