Vermont hosted its annual tech jam

WERE YOU THERE?

The LCDI certainly was! We set up a booth next to our neighboring Emergent Media Center and spoke to all sorts of people about what we do here at Champlain’s Lakeside Campus. Over 200 people stopped by our booth! Not only was it a great opportunity to get the word out about the services the LCDI provides, but it was also a chance to connect with students looking into the computer science and digital forensics fields. Seeing more and more young people getting interested makes our day!

Of course, as usual, the star of the show was our Google Glass demonstration. Everyone wanted to try a pair out for a test run and were very interested in learning about the projects we used Glass for.

We also had a Cellebrite demonstration running as well, and we had a great time sharing our research experiences using the device.

At the end of it all, Tech Jam was a huge success for the LCDI. We look forward to reconnecting with all the prospective students in the near future. And if you didn’t see us at the Jam, feel free to stop by the center with any questions, or email us at lcdi@champlain.edu! Otherwise, see you all at the next Tech Jam!
