The LCDI Spends a Weekend at the Tech Jam
Vermont’s Tech Jam is an annual event that brings together the many businesses and organizations in the region working on cutting edge technologies with interested consumers, students, and employers. It is a place for the most innovative companies and firms to showcase their work and for up and coming professionals to network the best in the region.
This year’s Tech Jam, held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center October 23rd and 24th, boasted over 18 presenters and 64 exhibitors. Exhibitors were present from 19 unique fields, including Aerospace, Media, Education, and HealthcareIT.
Students from the Leahy Center for Digital Investigation (LCDI) were among the exhibitors, and more than 50 Champlain students attended the Tech Jam on either Friday or Saturday, stopping by to see the work their fellow students are doing every day at the lab. LCDI students were showcasing their projects in Raspberry Pi Cyber, Raspberry Pi Forensics, Windows 10 Forensics, IoT Analysis, Malware Analysis, and MMORPG Chat Forensics to name a few throughout the weekend. The LCDI booth received a great amount of attention, over 180 visitors, for their cutting edge work.
The LCDI is already looking forward to the 2016 Tech Jam, and hopes to see all of our students and colleagues there next year.
