LCDI Presentations – Spring 2016 Projects

the first ever lcdi presentations

The LCDI received a warm response to their first ever project summary presentation event on Monday April 18, 2016, where the lab’s research teams gathered at Champlain College’s Alumni Auditorium and shared their experiences over the course of the 2016 spring semester to an open audience.

With final project deadlines coming ever nearer and reports being prepared for publishing over the summer, LCDI employees were excited to talk about the progression of their research and the results of their hard work. It was a great opportunity for everyone involved: coworkers were able to better understand each other’s assignments, those interested in learning more about the LCDI were given a taste of the lab’s atmosphere, and professionals in the industry received a face-to-face look at who does the LCDI’s research as well as the strategies they use throughout the analysis process.

The presentations also helped to get the word out about other aspects of LCDI operations. Employees briefly explained the FOR-190 program that offers students academic credit to get immersed in the process and learn through experience in a world-class digital forensic lab setting. Further, the Internet of Things (IoT) team was able to talk about their upcoming presentation at Enfuse 2016, one of the world’s largest digital forensic conferences.
